7 episodes left in season 4. I'm still bracing myself for "the thing" to happen...it's almost unbearable! Why did I have to spoil myself like that?

I wasn't sure about the character in season 3, but Tommy Carcetti has grown on me. I loved his relationship with Norman. The jury is still out concerning Dennis though.

Apparently I am not the only one obsessed with The Wire ! The series has been recently attacked by the current Police Commissioner who said that the show was a "smear that will take decades to overcome". So David Simon, remembering he once was a journalist, wrote down a response in the Baltimore Sun.

I was watching episode 6 (S3) and then there was Omar with his new lover...watching tv.

And what do Omar and his new boy watch on tv ? OZ !!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! And of course it was a Beecher/Keller scene they were watching ! *g*

I wonder whether it's just a tribute or if there's some foreshadowing in the air...

Should Omar trust this boy?

I've tried to slow down but I'm almost done with season 2. The Wire is addictive because it's all about characters. And I've come to like them all, either from the police side or from the crime side. Some characters are more endearing than others (Omar, Bubbles, Kima, Prez, Freamon), but humanity is there, in the same way it was on OZ, wherever you ( Read more... )

Really, I love Lance Reddick!

I didn't notice him on OZ (I only had eyes for Eammon Walker then) and he had such a small part on Lost, but I already loved him as Broyles on FRINGE.

He is simply terrific as Cedric Daniels on The Wire.

Since it's pretty quiet on the tv front, I have begun a The Wire marathon. I meant to watch it for a while but it's a 5 season series and I had already current shows to watch. But now that I've started, I feel that I won't be able to stop.

I'm 4 episodes into season 1 and loving it. I'm already hooked.
